Breathe in the salty breeze, in their invitingly tropical atmosphere as palms waft over a large deck at this waterfront eatery that‘s an institution on Corpus Christi Beach. There is a dining room, but sitting outside, watching the water sparkle is so much fun. You can’t beat their front row view of the USS Lexington. Ichiban Japanese Seafood Buffet

When you’re looking for a fresh alternative, try Ichiban Japanese Seafood buffet. Their fresh, healthy fare and fast service gives you more for your money in sushi, seafood and steak selections. Offering a variety of salads, sushi and hot dishes, the menu includes baked oysters, salmon teriyaki, kobe or beef ribs, snow crab legs, and oysters on the half shell. Sample a variety of sushi, as you pick your favorites or try something new like Spanish mackerel, tuna, salmon, ebi or shrimp, eel and vegetarian rolls, tempura or batter-fried. Ichiban’s sushi chefs will prepare handrolls and sashimi to order. The hibachi grill customizes orders with scallops, chicken, steak, or shrimp. A “must do” for visitors for over 30 years. They have provided the great southern style food and  service that visitors and locals  have come to rely on and expect. Blackbeard’s

One must-try Coastal Bend eatery is Blackbeard’s on Corpus Christi Beach. This beachy restaurant, housed in a bright purple building, serves some of the area’s best seafood, steaks and comfort food. With a full bar and extensive beer and drink selection, (margaritas are a specialty) and kids’ menu, they appeal to  all ages. They are home to a Rock ‘n Roll mini-museum with a wide array of memorabilia, from guitars signed by Eric Clapton and the Eagles to posters capturing poignant moments in rock history. To keep things really interesting, professional ghost hunters have deemed Blackbeard’s to be “authentically haunted” after finding spooky evidence throughout the restaurant.
