A “must do” for visitors for over 30 years. They have provided the great southern style food and  service that visitors and locals  have come to rely on and expect. Their motto is: “Come on in and enjoy some really good food and meet some of the friendliest people you’ve run into in a very long time”. In a Louisiana wharf-style building, the decor is down home and casual. Known for their Cajun specialties, enjoy the fried catfish, fried shrimp, a fine Opelousas style seafood gumbo and bottomless baskets of their amazing hush puppies. Popular for their fried oysters, U-peel ’em shrimp and frogs legs. Open daily, from 11am till the porch light is turned off. Minutes from downtown , easy to find. Take Ocean Dr. to Airline and McArdle. In the Crossroad Shopping Village. Call ahead for orders available to go. Beer and wine.
